In 2022 the festival will include competitions for short and long board surfing, scooter and skateboarding. In addition, a Battle of the Bands style competition for up and coming bands will also take place.

This will culminate in the Ride the Sound Wave music festival taking place across Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th June at Town Beach Park, Alban Place.  A special addition to this festival is the over 18s “Barrel Room” beer garden provided within the Ride the Sound Wave precinct.

Whilst the music festival is a ticketed event, free access to market stalls,  food vendors and family activities will be made available to the general public in and around the skate park and Breakwall HQ cafe across the weekend.
